What you missed out was the WBC faking the title eliminator so it wasn't in all their official documentation until after it was fought then they changed all the documentation and their website so it was a final eliminator instead of an eliminator I saw that with my own eyes and it was caught by several journalists and Whytes management. It was done so Whyte couldn't challenge it. Their is a video on IFL somewhere where they hold up a lettter where the WBC confirm it as an eliminator not a final eliminator.

So Brezeale only fought an eliminator and should have had to fight Whyte in a final eliminator ..

It's this stuff that kills boxing and explains why the Wilders of the world get zero respect outside of the cult of PBC.

Whyte was the mandatory for the 3 years. He was the #1 contender, but Breazeale was the mandatory. Breazeale was supposed to fight Stiverne, who was the mando,in a title eliminator. Stiverne fought Wilder instead and Breazeale was elevated as a result. Whyte was the mandatory until his fight with Rivas.

Garcia vs teo is the fight. if the winner wants to fight haney then fine but garcia teo makes the most sense for both. Easier fight, more money, screw the belts.

Fortuna could very well beat Haney though. He would most certainly be his first actual fight vs a top fighter. Very weird considering Haney is WBC champion. You would think if someone holds a title that they have at least one top win. Fortuna is The Ring's #7 ranked at 135. It would be a huge step up for Haney.
