  • Why R GGG fans upset Canelo moved up in weight?

    Let’s keep it 100.

GGG was always bigger than Canelo. Now Canelo is about the same size, but GGG never wanted to compete at a higher class. An 8 year reign claiming 168 was easy and only fought at 164 against Rolls...

Canela nuthuggers were saying 'Canela is not a real middleweight' trying to justify him ducking younger GGG, now 5 years later same idiots are saying 'Canela cant make 160 anymore' lol, the SMW division is by far weaker than MW division

Real Middleweights move up, RJJ, Toney, Bhop. Hagler and Monzon was an older generation. That hype and standard was exploited. That’s the reason why RJJ, Toney, Bhop dared to improve from fighters past. GGg however, “168 easy for me.”

Only a GGg diehard would cry for Canelo not going down to 160 when GGg is never allowed to go up. Canelo just fought for 2 belts he didn’t have and GGG just defended against who? Meanwhile Canelo gets heat because he too is about to make a defense. Lol GGG fans are the saltiest boxing fans on earth

People need to stop mentioning Golovkin with Canelo. Golovkin isn't on the same level.

That's a ****** thing to say, considering they went life and death in 2 frigging fights!

So did Ken Norton with Ali. Norton wasn't on Ali's level either.

Golovkin didn't live up to the ****** claims made by his fans. Arguably lost to all 3 of his best opponents. Not one convincing win over a top opponent.

It's odd how then at age 18 Canelo fought at 147-150 whereas GGG fought at 140.

At age 25 Canelo fought at a fight night weight at around 175.
At age 25 GGG fought at a fight night weight at around 170.

At age 29 Canelo fought at 175.
At age 29 GGG weighed in at 158½.

What are you even on about?

You might as well say that Mayweather was always bigger than Canelo.

You don’t know the concept of stepping on a scale?

                    158½ Drained GGG
                    173 filled GGG against Rubio.

So if GGG has been looking the same physique or bigger in fight nights as the Rubio fight then he consistently drains.

It means that if GGG attempted to transition at a higher weight like all boxers do then he’d looked filled at the scales.

As if Canelo is drained at the 168-175 scales. Lol. Canelo isn’t ripped like Plant at the 168 scale, and Plant looks softer on fight night.

Brush up on scales and weights

It simply means Canelo isn’t depleting water like GGg to still make a weight class
