      You're thinking, "who??"

Exactly. He got pushed in by a complete nobody.

So I'm asking, first why was the guy being hyped so much?

Second, shouldn't this get people to stop hanging off 'eye test' with these guys?
I understand the idea of not going overboard with the so-called "eye test", however that's usually all you can go on until a fighter faces decent competition.

For example, Edgar Berlanga shouldn't be seen as the p4p king yet but it's clear to see that he has power.

Whether that power shows up against top opponents remains to be seen. As of now, he is neither a hypejob or an elite fighter. He is a prospect with potential who is making his way through the ranks.

Prospects don't have this happen to them by a regional:

I'd like to see him against Morell Jr.

Ok, and how is that different from what we saw with Ortiz/Maidana? Same results. And look what happened to Ortiz since.

That's what I'm saying about Verdejo.

Bro, Nakatani was the most recent fight.

Lozado Jr. was before that. Same outcome.

Madera which was years ago is when he was being hyped. He was also hyped against Lozado.

Now, after getting sparked by Nakatani, people still see some potential.

Yet Danny Swift who only ever lost to the Top 5 and never dropped or stopped, NSB wants him to retire.

Wilder officially has ONE loss - to the lineal champion, THE MAN. Yet NSB says he should retire.

Why does Verdejo get sparked by C-levels back-to-back yet still has something to offer, but let it be any other damn fighter and it's calls for them to retire?

I was referring to Edgar Berlanga as a prospect with potential, not Felix Verdejo.

Nakatani's not a bum though and his performances against Teo and Verdejo should confirm that.
