Still hope we get Ryder/Lemieux at some point, that is big time action. Chudinov isn't washed yet, but he's certainly faded, Ryder should smash him up

Lemieux is kinda washed though isn't he? Basically lost his SMW debut vs Bursak but not like he'd ever lose a decision in MTL.

        • This fight was terrible Gavronski looked so slow man like his punches had nothing on them and by the time he tried throwing one an uppercut was already connecting and snapping his head back how was he even ranked he should be fighting at 154.

I'm not ready to call him washed from 1 performance at a new weight, certainly doesn't bode well though and I don't think he's at the level he was in his prime. He's always gonna be a live dog with that power though. If Ryder is taking on Chudinov in the near future, wouldn't mind seeing Lemieux fight Bazinyan in a Quebec battle

            • Morrell is very talented and still has a lot of time to develop even more. He can be a real threat to the 168 division after he gets more experience under his belt. He has the style to give Canelo problems with his quick hands and feet. I’m really looking forward to his progression in the ring.

you might be right but I think for 3 weeks notice, not too bad. I have seen worst with a full camp. Not saying it is okay to miss weight.

The kid looks good but has already shown mental
                  Weakness and lack
Of discipline, both traits Cubans are infamous for.

                  Can he take a punch?

Mind you I’m a big fan of Lara, Rogondeaux and Ugas but that’s why. You have to earn my respect especially if you come from a Cuban amateur background.
mental weakness? no discipline? On a short notice fight? I think you have a problem with Cubans fighters or don't know the History. Yes, some of them don't live up to their potential, most of the time because the age they defected. But this kid is 22 years old and the combined win and loss opposition is 63-15 with one of those fighter 20-0. I would love to find out if you know of another 22 years old fighter with 4 fights and that kind of resume. By the way, from where you get that mental weakness? I seen him fight and mentally he proved to be a tough guy. 12 rounds in his 3rd fight against an undefeated fighter. I think that shows his mettle. By the way, check another 22 years old Cuban fighter, Yoelvis Gomez.

As a former boxer I’ve had the privilege and honor of training in Cuba.

The ability of Cuban fighters at an amateur level is spectacular.

Until we get to those defecting Cuba denouncing Cuba. I understand the anger and animosity as I’ve been on the island and I don’t live like a Yuma. I’ve been harassed by “la Mona” and know the island well on foot since I had no Money for taxi or bicycle. I love Cuba by the way. Lo mío peso cubano coño.

I also come from a country that has been historically worse off due to civil war and gang violence.

that while I understand politics and sports don’t mix, and I definitely appreciate a fighter like Lara who knew his worth and wanted more, don’t piss on the country that made you a great Amateur.

Especially when 75% crack at first serious contact.
