It's was so disgraceful watching such a big man like that, running away from the little man in from of him...that was really really ugly but it's aways the same with this hyped European fighters that most of them aways are paper champions or contenders, when the real fight come to them, they evapore like hot water.

With his ridiculous reach advantage, only with the use of a decent jab, he would have won the fight without throwing any other punch.

Smith was a champion and has massive size advantage therefore strategy should have been clear to him.

He is just not that good that’s all. I too overestimated him.

And Im not buying that “ not enough training time” nonsense.

Smith is a big, tough and rangy fighter but I don't recall him taking full advantage of his length and range in his fights prior to Canelo. I could be wrong but I don't remember him having an incredibly dominant or powerful jab. Without that snapping stick, Canelo wouldn't have to pay for the real estate to close into his own range.

Canelo looked incredibly strong and solid in the ring and he's clearly a highly skilled technician. Guys with crisp, hard jabs and good movement pose the biggest problem to Canelo IMO.
