Well, if the Povetkin rematch falls through again for any reason, then I think Whyte v Ortiz is a pretty solid match-up. Style-wise this could be a very good back and forth scrap. It's a near pick-em for me, but I would probably very slightly favor Whyte.

Why isn't this fight signed already. Whyte says everyone is avoiding him and Ortiz feels the same about himself. Easy fight to make if Whyte is willing!

Povetkin said he isnt ready to fight, I'd think Whyte would respond like he always does and say make it happen. Crickets so far. This should be made before the end of the year unless they're going a different direction!

You're right to have "risk" in quotations because there is no risk as I pointed out in my original post, he had everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose, you've literally glossed over everything I've said to double down on your perception of "risk", as for Teixeira vs Castano it's another nothing fight with a belt the PBC don't care about/recognize. you're being choosing to be wilfully ignorant to push whatever agenda you seemingly have in regards to Haymon, like I stated previously when he "risks" a worthwhile fighter who's considered an actual name/needle mover for him then maybe your "argument" will hold some weight until then it's laughable to even have the conversation really.

Ortiz against Whyte is a blast. I would be WAY more excited for that than a Povetkin rematch.

If Whyte holds the course for Povetkin, a Ortiz-Ruiz high stakes crossroads fight would be a fun clash of styles that would be an easy sell.

You have not answered the question? Who lets their fighters fight on other platforms more than PBC?
