Here come the “who had he fought” claims by the Canelo boy band fan girl militant fan of nationality/ethnic only casuals....

Im not sure what the biggest fights are revenue wise but I'd like to see him fight Saunders and Plant for undisputed at 168.
If he's successful I'd then like to see him either challenge the top guy(s) at 175 or defend his titles against the top challengers at 168 (probably the likes of Benavidez, Andrade, Charlo and GGG)Comment

Of those mentioned, having seen how Canelo has developed, I'd say only Beterbiev and Bivol have a realistic chance of beating him.
Canelo is too much for the others, his boxing skill, his power, he's on a higher level to Charlo, Andrade, Benavidez, Spence, Plant and Saunders. Andrade could be a tricky and awkward fight but I don't think he beats Alvarez.Comment

I agree.. He would gain a lot of respect with the black community with Jermall and a lot of respect overall with Benavidez.
Obviously, there will still be a lot of haters, but again Canelo's resume would still be miles ahead of the rest.Comment

So everyone is aware that fight has to be next. Don't act outraged when it gets announced.
We are all looking beyond that to later in the year for more interesting opponents. Canelo wants to unify 168 lbs so that means Billy Joe Saunders and Caleb Plant.Comment

It's 90% sure that he'll take on Yldirim on February to retain that WBC belt. It's a trash fight but as long as he goes undisputed next year I'm ok with it.
I I had to choose 5 guys for the next 5 fights this would be my pick:
1 - May 2021, BJS for WBO
2 - Sep 2021, Plant for IBF unidisputed
3 - May 2022, Charlo
4 - Sep 2022, Benavidez
5 - May 2023, Bivol
I'm all good with all the names on this article but these 5 would be my top picks.Comment
