Comments Thread For: Yildirim: I'm Ready - I'd Fight Canelo in Mexico, Turkey or On The Moon!

Super middleweight contender Avni Yildirim is eager to get his mandatory crack at WBC, WBA super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Last Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Canelo dominated Callum Smith over twelve rounds to capture the two world titles.

    That's maybe a 1 or 2 round fight.

You've got about the same chances as fighting on the moon than squaring off against Canelo.

He'll likely ditch belts rather than take low paying mandatory's.

      He's Saul Cashelo Alvarez now.

I agree. We maybe unfairly judging Yildirim on the Eubank Jr fight, but I just can't see how someone who was absolutely destroyed by such a limited boxer could do anything but pad the record of someone like Canelo.
Bonus is it could be a quick turnaround from the Smith fight or before a proper big fight in the summer without too much stress for ginger nuts.

The problem is that Sulaiman has been biting his nails to assure Canelo keeps a belt. Benavidez screwed everything up. It was supposed to be Benavidez vs Yildirim but fat lurch missed weight. In an odd turn of events, Canelo haters don’t like that Hearn was able to get Smith the WBC Title fight because of his Diamond status. Diamond + Franchise + Haymon agreeing to the step aside fee made Canelo vs Smith, under the stipulation that the winner had to fight Yildirim. It’s not complicated

Canelo is big enough now that everyone wants to fight him just the same as Floyd, now you watch all the ones he dont fight will become he ducked them.

              Everyone wants the top dog.

Padding for Canelo Yildrim is just a gift from Sulaiman
