His promoter has to make ends meet, and by paying him $5 mill a fight with a $1 mill guarantee, where does the other $4 mill come from.....with no spectators. Any half sensible Promoter, and Arum is brilliant, wouldn't dream of doing such a ****** thing. Arum could buy a dozen houses if he wanted; he's worth about $250-300 mill +. Besides, I've never heard of an 89 year old man, however much money he had, buying a new house.
