It's ok to hate on Whyte but you can't call him a ducker when Ortiz and Wilder breathe air.
He ducked a guaranteed shot at 4 world titles against AJ last year. After screaming his big mouth off that he wanted it.

Biggest duck on history. FACT !!!

He's also ducked almost the entire top 10, Parker rematch, aj, pulev, Ortiz, etc...

Sounds like a ducker to me.

Not saying Pulev was avoiding anyone but his team refused to take on any live bodies waiting for his title shot. Whyte got the WBC #1 ranking after beating Robert Helenius for the WBC silver title. He fought Browne (who I always thought was extremely overrated), Parker, Chisora, Rivas, Wach & Povetkin waiting for his WBC title shot. He doesn't get enough credit for taking risky fights. It bit him in the a5s but he is still the #5 HW in the world in my eyes.
      EXACTLY!!!
He has been his own worse enemy.
I always thought the Povetkin fight was any unnecessarily risky fight for someone on the verge of a title shot guaranteed to make him millions.
Some times I wonder about the people who advise him.
He/they seem to forget this is a business not a tough man contest.

Dean Whyte advises him . Whyte is his own manager ,he picks his own course ,I imagine Dean was the one who told him to decline the A.J offer to hold out for more money .

This is why you actually get a brain on your payroll .

Hearn puts his input in and at times Whyte listened and that’s when he was on track, every time he goes against Hearns advice it hasn’t gone smoothly. Now we had Whyte calling Ortiz out and others where Hearn said it was just emotional talk so he doesn’t want that one he wants the Povetkin rematch ,so we’ll see what Whyte does .

Whyte was making money. He is not Joshua but his fights usually draw good sized crowds & he headlines in the UK. He makes more money than most HWs. I’m sure Whyte doesn’t want to sit around waiting for his shot. He isn’t making money on the sidelines.

Hunter beats both Whyte and Hrgovic. He really is under hyped.

Whyte would be serve best to listen to Hearn, he is too emotional just like Wilder, you leave emotions out of business decisions, but some people are not capable of doing so, what does fighting Ortiz does for Whyte? Nothing.... Even if he beats Whyte he still need to fight and beat Povetkin. Ortiz doesn’t have a belt, he has a high ranking based on losing twice, if Whyte wants to keep busy then fight some bum.

Not sure who you are referring to, but Kalle is Hrgovic main promoter. He claimed they have offers for Hunter and are awaiting his signed contract. Hence why most of us are mentioning him.

Yes and, after months and months of endless "call.outs", hasn't Whyte gone (refreshingly) quiet recently?!

Ortiz follows the Wilder blue print which is take fights when opponents don’t look good or coming off a loss . However in this situation Whyte definitely has more to gain just because Ortiz is over hyped and Whyte coming off a knockout loss we know the winner never gets credit .

Only the Wilder fans will spin it as a big win if Ortiz won ( it would be ) but right now Whytes a bum to them .Ha

Ortiz defeating Whyte at his age would be his best win ,but my moneys on Whyte .
