Against Haye, Chisora landed 23% of his shots (27% of his jabs)
Agsinst Usyk, Chisora landed 22% of his shots (11% of his jabs)
again, that obviously doesn't tell the whole story, but gives an idea. Plus, people like to point out that Usyk doesn't have KO power, but either does Andy Ruiz. His KO% was around 52% going into the Joshua fight. It's why I don't put much stock into things like that, it only tells a part of the story. Usyk could still drop Joshua with a well placed and timed combo IMOComment

I haven't seen that fight since it happened TBH but I looked up the punch stats just because we're discussing the elusiveness of both fighters

Not doubting Usyk's power at Cruiserweight, but he's not shifting too many top HW's on the evidence shown so far. He hasn't got the longest of levers either and I AJ would box him similar to how he did Pulev. Joyce on the other hand could be an all out war.Comment

Usyk still hasn't fought a decent big HW at pros yet. Chisora is a small HW. Also Chisora is ranked maybe 12/13. Lets' see Usyk in with a top-level guy. I think he has a chance against AJ but I still think AJ would win that. I'd be happy if Aj fights Usyk before or after Fury. Or if Fury wins - he can fight him
Usyk has more chance against Fury who has said on record that Cunningham was the only boxer he couldn't do anything with. Cunningham had a very poor record at HW. So Usyk can only do betterComment

Jennings was green when he fought both Klitschko and Ortiz he also had Rivas if not for the last round mishap . There is no evidence Jennings was shot in the Joyce fight in fact I remember him training very hard and punching tires ,the same shot he caught Joyce early with but Joyce adapted and was unhurtable after round one .
Ortiz hasn’t won a top fight in what’s going on 6 years what will be so the rankings don’t remotely work like that ,but you know this and shows no validity in either ranking criteria.
But who cares about Ortiz? You are saying Joyce should be in the top 10 based on what? Surely he has to beat a top-10 boxer first? Why aren't you applying these strict critera to Joyce? Ortiz was in the ring with and went life and death with the world no.2 in recent times - who also happens to be the only top-20 boxer Fury has fought in 5 years.
Its' a strange world we live in. I like Joyce but don't put him in the top-10 until he actually beats someone in it.Comment

Jennings is clearly at the end of his career.

The assumption on your part is Ortiz is a top 10 because 3 years ago he gave Wilder a good fight ? Come on ,going on Ortiz last fight and Joyce’s you wouldn’t pick Ortiz to win , no one would if they were being honest . Ha
Jennings has only 28 fights and was 5 and 1 going into the Joyce fight so there’s no real credibility to say he’s at the end of his career . Clearly he has a few fights left after giving Joyce his toughest fight .
If you can’t see why Joyce is a top 10 ,I don’t know what to tell you .Last edited by REDEEMER; 12-27-2020, 11:54 AM.Comment
