First time I saw Murray was when he got jobbed in the Martinez fight. Guy was tough and rugged and always was game even when outgunned or outskilled. He had himself quite a decent career, far worse fighters than Martin Murray have won a belt. Good luck to him in the rest of of his endeavors outside the ring.

This man took on a ton of challenges and never gave a half effort. His body was fading, and his reflexes were not able to help him anymore. Just a great decision from a fighter who actually fought hard.

Go enjoy your family, stay involved in the sport somehow, and occasionally get to your local pub to have a pint and tell war stories, Mr. Murray.

And PLEASE do not try to come back. Your body needs the rest of your life off.

He'll be back again for the rematch against Maravilla.
