Comments Thread For: Parker Warns Fa: You Should Have Faced Me on Last Date, Now I'll Be Way Better

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker believes unbeaten opponent Junior Fa made a big mistake by not going forward with their scheduled fight on December 12 Auckland. The fight was pushed back to February 27, after Fa underwent surgery an undisclosed medical issue.

I have seen most of Fa’s fights & all of Parker’s fights. I know Fa was down against a 45 year old Dominick Guinn & that was one of the few fights I missed so I’m not sure if he was in trouble or if it was just a flash KD. Regardless I think this is a massive step up & I think it is more of a stay busy fight for Parker as I expect him to take out Fa. Stranger things have happened but I see this going similar to the Tua/Cameron fight but maybe not a 2nd rd KO. Parker is the one with everything to lose & not much to gain other than a decent paycheck. I expect a Parker KO win somewhere between rounds 6 & 8...

I agree with your point of view. I see Parker stopping Fa at around round 6.

I hope Parker can step up the competition after he beats Fa. He needs to get back on track to a world title opportunity.

Honestly, Parker should've beaten Joshua and he absolutely beat Dillian Whyte. Both men cheated enough that any reputable official would've disqualified them. But since the only job of a British ref seems to be securing wins for British fighters, he lost both bouts.

It's a serious shame. Joseph Parker was in the top 5 heavyweights a few years ago, and after foolishly fighting twice on the British isles, he has been pushed into obscurity by those who don't want him to come back and win the fights he already won.

Yes you do have a point. Everytime he got close to Joshua the ref split them up and Parker couldn't let his hands go. Joshua's weakness he cant in fight that's why in America he lost to Ruiz as refs there dont stop in fighting. In my opinion he beat Whyte who was saved by the bell on the last round so yes Parker needs to stay away from the UK.
