There are still threats to Canelo. Benavidez and Jermall shouldn't be written off.

Yeah of course not both would be competitive but I don’t see either winning.

He definitely came to mind, as many will know he’s my favourite fighter. I just don’t think his inside game remained as effective when he came up against naturally bigger guys like SSR and Cuadras too to an extent.

He’s another exceptional inside fighter though, I think the argument can be made he’s better than Canelo on the inside.

Benavidez might be able to. He wouldn't get bossed around the ring for 12 like Smith that's for sure.

Chocolatito is more aggressive and has a better variety of inside game and is good and slipping shots, but Canelo is on another level at the latter. Both are terrific but Chocolatito has been a inside master for years.

The kid is the complete package. I was having a conversation with a coach friend of mine the other day; we agreed that Canelo learned a lot from his fight with Mayweather. The right student can learn loads from just one good master class. Alvarez is that guy.

Yeah I agree. I actually think that loss was a blessing for him. It’s made develop his game extensively.

I thought he looked real good that night; but he tried boxing with the master, which was a bad idea. Nonetheless, it made him better. That’s something he’ll always carry with him.
