It was a weird ending for him after dominating the entire fight. It's almost like he was exhausted and gave up on himself. You see elite fighters dig deep through exhaustion and adversity and that seems to be the character Verdejo lacks.

A rematch for Verdejo isn't a bad decision at this point. I mean, he was in control of the fight until he wasn't.

The thing is, he can't move forward as the A-side fighter because of the loss and Nakatani may not get that Lopez rematch that he appears to deserve.
