He said this before and nothing. Would be great if he does it but I doubt it. Theirs just no incentive for Charlo to do it other than pride, and Black American fighters are more calculated than prideful so I dont see it happening.

We have ONE!!! fight amongst all those guys. Everyone wants to wait around for the Canelo payday and avoid tough fights until then. It's obvious.
You do know that Jermall was his mandatory right? However, what did he do? He avoided him by ducking him. He and Golovkin both ducked him.

Mauricio Sulaiman came up with this Franchise champion nonsense in order to protect Canelo against dangerous mandatory challengers like Jermall Charlo.

I haven't really seen much evidence personally that Jermall even wanted to fight Canelo. Didn't they offer him like $10 million?

I don't think there was any real mutual interest unfortunately between Charlo-GGG. Too much risk and too little reward for both in that fight.

Jermall is good but still unproven too. That's the point in building your profile and fighting other top fighters. It forces the hand of a guy like Canelo to have to fight you.

Only PBC fans would try running with a Canelo is Ducking Jermall Charlo narrative.

I've heard that rumor too but I don't believe it. Charlo is not worth anywhere near that amount of money to fight a Canelo Alvarez. Oscar just pulled that number out of his ass.

It's a lie because if De La Hoya did offer him a $10 mil dollar purse then Jermall Charlo would have been a damn fool not to take it. That's career altering type of money.

Yeah you never know what to believe. Especially in boxing where everyone wants to 'duck' but you always want the other guy to get blamed for it.

I guess that story worked somewhat. I don't believe everything I hear with that stuff, all promoters lie. I just didn't like Charlo's response to it when he was asked. He was like 'talk to my manager' or something. Idk just seemed like there may be some truth to it.

Because as you said, that is the whole deal for most of these fighters. Land the Canelo payday for like $10 million, try and get it on even terms, and then try and get the W.

Well we all will just have to wait and see. It's because only time will reveal whether or not that offer was true.

However, I do know that Fox/Showtime and the PBC would be more than happy to have Canelo fighting on their platform.

Whether it's against Caleb Plant, David Benavidez or Jermall Charlo.

Typical of you LDBC kids to not own up on to the truth.

1.) Charlo told Mannix that the offers didn’t make financial sense.

2.) Hearn told media that Charlo wasn’t serious in fighting Andrade or Canelo. He said they offered them $7-8 million just for Andrade.

3.) Jermell Charlo told his fans that he would never turn down a Canelo fight, and said what Jermall did was gay

Hope we get some of those matchups in 2021. They are all ready to fight. No need to marinate.

Now why would Oscar offer Jermall Charlo $10 mil when the guy hasn't earned more than one and a half million dollars for a fight in his entire career? That sounds very sketchy and fishy to me at best.

The truth is Charlo was ducked by both Oscar and Canelo; Especially after coming off that Gennady Golovkin victory of his.

It's also the reason why Sulaiman implemented that bogus Franchise champion status for fighters like Canelo Alvarez to avoid any dangerous mandatory challengers like a Jermall Charlo.
