I dont think it bothered him that much until after the fight when he cooled down.

He got hit with a good body shot early and he shelled up, Canelo was just a class above and Smith knew it early on.

I don’t think anyone can deny that. Even if Smith knew from as early as the second round that he couldn’t win he still hanged in there and took his beating like a man. He even acknowledged Canelo targeted his arm something that he does to fighters that have a tight high guard.

I didn't see any injury visibly affecting him. It just looked like canelo got his respect in the early going and out boxed him and kept him gun shy.

Not doubting theres an injury but it wasnt anything that would have improved his performance in my opinion.
