Canelo best ring IQ in boxing today

You can see him thinking in there and seems to be a step ahead always.

Even though I'm certain he was drained vs Mayweather, that loss is what propelled him to all time status, because he set out to learn everything he could from that fight & since them hes tried to learn every fight & prove himself also.

Nothing teaches a fighter like studying boxing(as Reynoso does,he studies every great fighter & teaches Canelo whos willing to learn)while fighting the best fighter you feel you can beat at current level as Canelo does. Fighters like Ggg struggled because he was already too set in his ways to learn once he finally faced the elites at mid 30s,thats what seperates the elite from superstardom.

If his iq was that much more than everyone else wouldn’t he have clearly beaten G twice?

People need to make excuses for the Mayweather performance 'I don't think Alvarez has gotten any better, his level of opposition are completely clueless'.

Mayweather was not at his peak, and completely shut him out.

Canelo has never looked like the ****** up zombie that showed up to the weigh in,& hes never looked so listless without power, stamina or energy,he has never since then either. Props to Floyd on the schooling but I am convinced it would be a different fight a yr or 2 later at full 154.

I don't think Canelo's IQ shined that bright today. I think we've seen him fight more sergical fights previously (offensively and defensively).

I think today he knew he was going to have to close the distance a 100% of the time so he went full on Mexican style, like he did for GGG 2. I also think that's why Smith was able to land some good shots on Canelo because Canelo was being a little reckless. Probably because he knew he could take Callum punches more and Callum could take his.

Most people believe GGG won both fights. Just saying. Studying boxing is good, trying to throw a guy under the bus that most people believe Canelo lost too twice is just dumb though.

The reason Floyd won, and the reason a fighter like Floyd would still beat Canelo, is footwork. Canelo needs to set his feet to punch, Floyd used his feet to keep Canelo from setting his feet. Because of Floyds footwork, Canelo's output was extremely limited. Also because of Floyds handspeed, Canelo had problems.

Canelo still has slow feet and needs to plant them to throw. Thats why he is prone to boring fights like the Jacobs fight, where he spends so much time resetting, and not throwing.
