Current Canelo vs Prime Mayweather at 154?

Do you guys think Canelo today can beat Prime Mayweather if they fought. Canelo has improved a lot since they fought but I still think Mayweather takes it. That was old and slow Mayweather who schooled Canelo. The younger Mayweather is too fast and his hands are too Heavy for Canelo.

Todays Canelo cannot make 154, and if he could that same Floyd has the same speed advantages and footwork he had before, if you cant catch the prize you dont get it given to you.

This Canelo beats Floyd at 54. Floyd was never “prime” at 54.

There’s also the hindsight factor of Canelo having lost to Floyd and he became much better after. He’s much more versatile and aware now and would be hyper aggressive and bully him (like people wanted him to do but he thought he could out potshot/counter Floyd). He’d know not to try to out mayweather him

I don’t think that makes Canelo better. Just a different mindset of a guy who’s since honed his craft from 154-175. The best version we’ve seen of Canelo hurts the best version of 154 Floyd.

Fantasy matchup style wise, all things Equal and Floyd is at prime WW (lets say 30 years old just like Canelo), Floyd. Easy.

By the end of Canelo’s career we may be able to say differently though so we’ll see.

Skill for Skill this version of Canelo shuts down and KO's Mayweather.

Mayweather beat Canelo at a catchweight and at a version who was only about 20% of the skill level of this version we have today.

Today’s Canelo hits too hard, also fast, too smart, walks Floyd down.

Takes all Floyd’s punches and goes to Floyd’s body while eating Floyd’s pitty Pat shots and then breaks Floyd down.

            He’s too good right now.
He beats GGG in the trilogy too.

Not fair for Floyd cuz this version of Canelo is too big an strong plus would have experience already facing Floyd before!

Floyd would never fight this version of Canelo. This Canelo doesn't exist with a full camp of random drug testing.

You dont get this version 30lbs lighter, it always seems people will transform this version into the same thing 3 divisions lower, reality doesnt work like that only fantasy.

Canelo is not faster today than he was and its the speed and movement advantage from Floyd that left him with nothing to fire at, Floyd is a master boxer he is not Smith or Kov the speed difference is huge.
