Usyk could try for the brigerweight title while he sit back and let his check come to him...he has options

The step aside option still means the winner of aj/fury has to vacate the belt after the first fight.
So it's the best of both worlds in this situation.

If the next 3 HW title fights are: fury v Joshua. Winner v Usyk. Winner v Wilder. That would be serious, definitive best big man of generation

Eddie Hearn should pay the step aside money even if it's something lucrative like a few million dollars because they are due to make hundreds of millions for two fights with Fury.

He'd have been good in the 70's and 80's. He's big enough for that era and extremely skilled, not sure about undisputed but he'd have a chance of a belt or two.

At 6'3" and 216lb he's 2” taller and 1lb heavier than Holyfield was when he fought Mike Tyson.

Usyk is probably taking good step-aside money from Hearn.

Plus this gives Usyk additional time to adjust to HW.

Usyk is rated #2 in WBC & WBA rankings, also #3 in IBF

WBC he doesn't want to touch as Fury is a step too far for him.

Sooooo he wants to face the winner off the heavyweight championship unification bout then in that way he can have an easier time trying to get a fight made with one champion instead off multiple ones?

Smart move it appears he has decided to try the old killing 2 birds with one stone technique

Usyk doesn’t believe in himself that’s the only reason he’d take step aside money especially after being gifted a heavyweight mandatory position

Actually, it could be 3 'cheques'

                      1 for stepping aside
                      1 for the actual fight
1 for a fight before the fight
