yeah that’s how it works....I remember Tyson paying Lewis 4 million so he could fight Bruce seldom for his title.
I think it wise of usyk to wait another year grow a bit more....take a warm up fight or two and then in a year or he will get his shot plus he can get a good payoff.
I think he knows Joshua is the main money man and he wants to make some money...fair play to him

Hahahahhaa you are too damn ignorant to even know the rules and you dare to call me a casual. Maybe follow this advice, “it’s better to remain silent and thought to be ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

His designation as WBO Super Champion secured him as mandatory. To obtain WBO Super Champion the following must hold true....

“ Additionally, the following factors will be considered in determining Super Champion designation:
      (A) If the prospective Super Champions has been a WBO World Champion in more than one (1) weight division; or
      (B) If the Prospective Super Champion has held more than one (1) Championship of the four major world sanctioning organizations; or
      (C) If the prospective Super Champion has unified the Championships of more than one (1) of the four (4) major world sanctioning bodies”

Usyk didn’t achieve “A” in the rules above. “B” and “C” above is the criteria he fit however he unified and under the “rules” as I stated to the other poster this is what landed him WBO mandatory.

      Simply being WBO champion doesn’t grant you s h i t
So go on down the road casual

Usyk has already beaten Hunter (who I like), why should he fight him again to get a shot at Joyce who he's ranked above and who's only ranked top because of Frank Warren Dubois rating fraud.

I'd like all those fights but its a bit harsh on Usyk.

If usyk Whyte was an option ... Usyk Wilder ....

Exactly he isn’t ******. He will even be praised by masses for letting the fight go ahead. It’s a win win for him. By the time he fights the winner he could be fighting in a crowd with full capacity , which means more money for him

Usyk absolutely spanked Joyce in the WSB (five rounds, no headgear, professional gloves, 200lbs+), and Joyce hasn't exactly improved all that much since then. Just saying.

Actually it's neither unified nor just regular World champions, but designated Super Champions that get the sorta automatic right (if they request it)..

                (2) ELIGIBILITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR DESIGNATION AS THE
MANDATORY CHALLENGER IN HIGHER OR LOWER DIVISION.
If requested by a Super Champion, the Championship Committee may designate
the Super Champion as the mandatory challenger for the higher or lower
                division.

I think since Hearn said they'd be prepared to drop the belts and these ****** sanctioning fee's Usyk is now realising very few want to see him in the way of this mega fight. Lets face it he fights Joyce for the vacant it's a B- fight .The big dust up is a A.

Fury and Wilder refused to fight Whyte but Usyk will?

Sorry but that's not going to happen.

That's Certainly the most logical explanation. Just follow the money.
