At least a lot of people are recovering from eye injuries, not career ending anymore

        It's career ending.

Look at Brook and Mares. The Bruno look alike and Nakatani might show the effect soon too. Abner was smart to get out, maybe a little too late. Now his face looks deformed, especially his eyes. It's a serious damage.

These days fighters seem to have a glass face.

Felix had the win in the bag, the kid dropped the ball. Thank you for the Greens

I was rooting for Verdejo and i really feel for his loss. I got flashbacks of
              Cotto-Margarito 1..

Just like Cotto, Verdejo started off great, landing good combos but as rounds went by, fatigue kicked in and he started fading fast.

He has the offense but he simply cannot recover from a hard shot.

It was more up to the Samurai spirit. Nakatani might be damaged goods after this fight, but he'll still come back with the same spirit next, win or lose.

Verdejo was a warrior that night and his country should be proud.

Verdejo made me into a fan that night, again. Career might end up being a pedestrian if he stays.

Well said. Look at what the Japenese did to Diago Higa for missing weight, death before dishonor is the way of the Japanese Samurai. Not everyone can overcome career ending injuries like the great Kosei Tanaka.
