Only difference being GGG was never dropped twice and held to a draw off a Colombian coconut salesman like Hopkins was, he never needed 3 fights with Willie Monroe level type opponents in Robert Allen and he lost twice against Taylor.

Same night is stretching it, but I agree Bhop had the skills and smarts to beat them, but by the same token they have the talent to make it very interesting.

Yeah my post was slightly hyperbolic but got the point across

If Bhop had less of a chin they'd have a much better chance. His skill, size and will to win would be too much imo.

A Pavlik fight vs Canelo or GGG is a more interesting hypothetical and probably a much more exciting fight.

Allen was awful he wouldn’t go 4 rounds with GGG, his resume was garbage and Hopkins fought him 3 times🤣 Plus he had to have two fights against the Colombian journeyman to actually win a title.
