That fight was bereft of rules. Pulev rabbit-punched Joshua all the way and nothing was said or done to him.

It tells you more about Joshua tha about Pulev or the referee that it took AJ 6 more rounds to finish it.

Yeah, in a good way. Joshua is notorious for gassing but he looked like he got his cardio right in camp.

He didn't rush in to try and force the KO in round 4, he took his time, was never in trouble and easily beat his mandatory. Simple as.

Would have been fine with a 3rd round stoppage but the KO he achieved was better anyway.

no, AJ could not finish him , pulev got through the round and remained mentally, emotionally and physically in the fight ( although in my mind never going to win ) . Fight being allowed to continue also allowed AJ to mature more as a fighter and show what he has learnt and improved on . Hearn should be happy AJ has his confidence back among many other improving factors that he will need in order to be competitive with fury but above all this is a world title fight and pulev in his eyes and everybody else was still in the fight . It being allowed to continue was good for the fans , promoter and tv company . Pulevs mental and physical health was very good and well prepared for a hard nights work

That’s all fine and good but the reality is it could have been stopped and there would have been no argument. When a fighter fails to defend himself the referee can and should stop the fight for a TKO

No, it shouldn`t, nonsense. Pulev was still strong, keep on fighting, he was fine until the ninth round.
