Hearn should be happy AJ has his confidence back among many other improving factors that he will need in order to be competitive with fury but above all this is a world title fight and pulev in his eyes and everybody else was still in the fight . It being allowed to continue was good for the fans , promoter and tv company . Pulevs mental and physical health was very good and well prepared for a hard nights work
The ref gave him a standing count when Pulev turned his back and walked away. There's no standing counts. When the ref had to step in it should have been waved off. That's the rules.

If Hearn think there should've been a stoppage by referee in the 3rd...how did Pulev make it all the way to the 9th?

It tells you more about Joshua tha about Pulev or the referee that it took AJ 6 more rounds to finish it.

rules dont matter. rules say wrestling, holding and hitting, hitting off the break, lowblows, headbutts are all against hte rules yet we had a guy named andre ward as the #1 p4p best fighter in the world so we cant appeal to the rules in boxing. its just a charade to make sure the people who are supposed to lose, lose.

It should have been yeah but Pulev gutted through 6 more rounds and at one point you had that feeling that AJ could lose the plot because he wasnt getting through with big shots.

So at least there was a bit of peril in the fight to make it interesting

Was thinking the same. Also, what's wrong if it lasts a little longer?!

Isnīt there a rule also, that if a fighter leaves the ring before an official verdict, then he forfeits?
