Agree , Ortiz is the key difference. But it’s not great for wilder that he’s even the same conversation. Even if he doesn’t end up the best heavyweight of this era for his own legacy he should try and take on3 or 4 of the sort of opponents Joshua has been taking on. Pulev Povetkin, Parker, Kownacki, Joyce (Joyce is slow so would be perfect for wilder), Ruiz - if he can get a couple of wins against these it makes a big difference to how he will be looked back on
Pulev has a better resume than Wilder

Joyce beats him imo, Joyce is slow but has decent foot speed, and he has the ability to push Wilder back, but yeah he could beat Pulev and Povetkin because they're so old, and I was never high on either Parker or Kownacki, so those are winnable fightsAgree , Ortiz is the key difference. I would say Ortiz, who was in his 40's, and grandpa ( Ortiz had Wilder hurt ) probably would have beaten Wilder if he was a few years younger and probably was better than Ustinov and Chisora.
But overall Pulev's resume is greater than Wilder's.Comment

Yes lol its funny. Wilder should have the reputation of a duck tbh. Ducked AJ, Fury (when his contract hasnt expired), Chisora, Povetkin, etc Out of his 9 title fights he only beat one world champion. Even Trevor Berbick has a better resume than him.Comment
