Korobov’s defining moment was against Charlo...

Perhaps Jermall was the curse. Nothing tops Charlo vs Heilland. How PBC and the network allowed that fight was just wrong. I guess there are fans like the Nat Geo channels whom want to see prey wounded and then eaten

Poor dude. Looks like he'll have to retire now if his body can no longer sustain at this level.

The guy has no luck. Shame as he's a good fighter.
Maybe time for him to hang them up.

Don't know if he's putting too much strain on himself while training or if he just really is that unlucky. Either way this has happened one too many times, he should probably retire before he falls to bits.

Sad to see these injuries plague him like this. I know he is close to 38, but t the very least he needs to take a year off and heal totally. If he comes back and loses in any fashion then it’s really over. Tragic to see this much talent be held back by injuries

You might be thinking of Kovalev who was known for being fond of the bottle and getting a little touchy with the women when he was enjoying the libations.

Never heard of Korobov being a drinker nor have I heard allegations of PED use. I think Mattvey's problem is that he's old and has alot of mileage. Dude had over 300 amateur fights and was in there with everyone - Usyk, Kovalev, Jacobs, etc.

Despite what the commentators were saying I thought he was thoroughly outboxing Ellis but it's a moot point. Time to retire I think.

Sorry I was getting confused with a technical decision but that’s only for headbutts.

I think they should change that rule. I always felt like that after watching the Cotto vs Foreman fight. The champion should be able to kept his belt if a non boxing injury occurs in the ring. Just my opinion.

You're not wrong, it's something that bothers me too. Even worse in the amateurs where they have WO wins (walkover) where you take an L for the fight not happening (like injured in the fight before if it's a tournament, you take two losses) one of the L's on my record is a WO. The professional equivalent is a NC which doesn't affect the fighters record.

That's actually how Shakur Stevenson went to the finals against Robisey. His opponent was injured the fight before so Stevenson got an automatic W.
