Fury would grab and lean on AJ and drown him.

Joshua has a terrible gas tank, he got through tonight mainly because Pulev was not committed despite giving him trouble in the mid rounds.

It was entertaining, but not exactly for the boxing - Pulev is pretty funny in the ring TBH.

Anthony gassed a bit after that 3rd round but he got his 2nd wind and got Pulev out of there in good fashion. Props to Kubrat he went out on his shield and actually tried to press the fight just got caught too many times and paid the price. I don't like how much grabbing AJ was getting away with but it was the same in the Parker fight so it doesn't surprise me to be honest.

Is the tentative style really that worrying? Tonight's performance showed wariness, it showed caution, yes. There is always that fear that he is fragile to a big punch, yes. But the former mitigates the latter. There is a reasonable argument to be made that tonight's performance was a synthesis of the boxing, don't-take-unnecessary-risks style of Joshua-Ruiz II with the gung-ho closer of yesteryear and that such a synthesis is probably a smart combination.

Didn't look too much that was tentative about those uppercuts.

AJ never fought Chisora. He fought scared against a small Parker and won a very boring decision. Ruiz demolished him. He fought even more scared in the Ruiz rematch, and won an even more boring decision.

Parker is a solid heavyweight you biased piece of cake. He beat Ruiz a fought well imo. Better than he did tonight.

I don’t think AJ is all that good but I can recognise what he’s done and how he’s overachieved considering his talent level
