Comments Thread For: Golovkin vs. Szeremeta - Undercard Information

Two world title fights will be featured on the undercard of the historic Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin - Kamil Szeremeta IBF/IBO World Middleweight Championship. Undefeated super middleweight contenders Ali Akhmedov (16-0, 12 KOs), from Almaty, Kazakhstan and Carlos Gongora (18-0, 13 KOs), from Esmeraldas, Ecuador, will rumble for the vacant IBO super middleweight world title and unbeaten WBA super featherweight world champion Hyun Mi Choi (17-0-1, 4 KOs), from Seoul, South Korea, will be looking to extend her 12-year title reign against Calista Silgado (19-11-3 14 KOs) from Tolu, Colombia.

GGG is trying to cash out with this fight. Everyone knows Szeremeta is the best at 160 and the biggest cash cow in the sport and GGG knows an L is coming but it’s his last fight. Szeremeta is also a big puncher. He can win a decision or by KO. GGG can only win by decision since he is so weak.

Not even gonna watch this mismatch. Szeremeta will wipe the floor with GGG and that is not why I watch boxing. I prefer competitive fights, not these cherrypicks. Hopefully Szeremeta steps up after this fight.

Hyun Mi Choi is a badass chick. Been a title holder since her pro debut lol. That sh^t is crazy. I've never seen her fight that I can recall, but being champ from your debut for a decade & change is impressive.

I dig Mati since his Youtube fame back in the day so nice to see him moving it along as a pro.

Beyond that I can't say I'm looking forward to this undercard or the fooking main event for that matter. Fook mando fights!!!

If Golovkin goes to the body from now on like Badou did in his last fight, he'll be a problem again. Needs to make a statement against Kamil.

Ahhh... the days back when Trip G could sell an event all by himself. Where did they go?

Just curious what the interest level is for this massive event. Myself, I can hardly wait to read about the results on Boxing Scene.

What are the chances this fight actually happens without one of them getting covid?
