Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Breakup With Canelo 'Literally Hurt My Feelings' - Vows To Rebuild Golden Boy
Collapse

Everybody is rebuilding not just Golden Boy he just got the light shone on him due to Canelo. Look at he cards since March. No promoter, match maker, etc wants to say it out loud but they all are in for a big shift. Two months ago it was DAZN three months ago it was Showtime. The fight cards tell the story of boxing right now. Big money fighters did not want to fight. Suddenly no names and 40 year olds got deals. MMA crossover guys got boxing matches, old men got in the ring and made money. Has the biggest fights of 2020 been done already? Or will this last push make some noise. It is a bubble or Texas right now. Wait for fighters to get tiered or look at there bank accounts and birth certificates and realize they got to fight some time. It's just business and business is hurting right now. Esp the business of boxing.

It happens too often to be coincidental And that was my original point.
Most felt his fights with trout and cotto were at least competitive and some judges in those 2 fights scored it a blowout. With Lara, some had both guys winning but 1 judge again saw a blowout somehow. And If you want to go by press row scores as you did for the Lara fight , an overwhelming majority had him losing both fights with ggg. Even the second fight that was closer, only 2 of 50 press row cards had him winning yet 2 of 3 official judges had him win winning and did so by giving him the 12th round which almost everyone else had him losing. Canelo gets the benefit of the doubt from judges more so than any boxer I’ve ever seen. Period.
Wilder was ahead on all scorecards in 1st fight with Ortiz (a joke). Jermell was ahead on all cards in 2nd fight with Harrison (a joke). Porter beating Ugas, a joke. Danny beating Herrera, a joke. Wilder getting a draw against Fury, a joke. Jermall over Korobov who was 2 week notice, a joke.
On and on...PBC is the real joke here
