On another note: I saw Shakur standing next to Davis and a couple of other lightweights, he looks tall and huge. Don't know how he squeezed into 126 all these years.

I love this fight, but Loma won't take it. Loss number 3.
U do know tank davis is 5'4 maximium like im 5'6 well 5'5 3/4 152lbs i met several ppl that met tank and know 1 person who actually knows him( not best friends) but knows em. Anyways they all tell me the samething yo tank davis shorter than you forreal like that n... Like 5'4 max but he weight more. I saw 1 photo to n i would say idk how he fights at 135?cause tank is everybit 160 when walking around dude def weighs more than me.

That, to me is another problem with boxing. They see a good pro fighter have some good performances and they're ready to crown them and rank them above much more proven fighters.

With Canelo's combination of skills and resume, how were people ranking Loma above him? What had he done to be ranked above Mayweather and Pac on all time lists?

I get the infatuation with the '0' can be an issue (more from casual fans in my experience) but I've seen former pros, respected trainers and longtime fans of the sport prematurely crown Loma as the greatest. The infatuation with the '0' had nothing to do with it because all of that over the top praise was happening with a loss on Loma's record.

This premature crowning of fighters to desperately try and have greats in the current era is as much of a problem as the obsession with an '0'.
Big Loma fan - never met anyone that said hes better than May or Pac or ever will be. There is always 1% of complete morons out there. My friend swears Earth is flat.

Dont criticize a great fighter and his fans because of small percentage of fringe thinkers. They were probably Ukrainian who don't know boxing history except Klitschkos, Tyson, and Lennox.

You think Efe will be a world champion? Nice person, I hope he does. I like to see good people be on top rather than braggers and yappers like Teofimo, Shakur, Trump.

But from the young crop I would sooner say Dubois, Hrgovic, Yoka. Actually all appear to be matured individuals with class - any one of these will be good representors of boxing.

I make the picks when guys only have a few fights under their belt. Right sometimes, wrong sometimes but I leave it up there even if I feel they’ve regressed. Plus, with four belts now it’s a lot easier to become a champ than people realize. I think Hrgovic has regressed also.

Robisey is another that I’ve soured on.

As Loma fans say, Loma can make featherweight easily, with a pound or two to spare. Shakur should ask the fight at that weight, 126. I guarantee Loma won't make 130 healthy enough. Let's have it!

            Arum has other ideas.
This kid is gay. He literally cries when he gets beat up. Like a sissy faggot.

Loma ends him in less than 3 rounds.

Lol. I was multitasking and made mistake. These guys who were giving title opportunities too early don't deserve it and normally get exposed. Lomé, Leon Spinks etc etc. I'm not hating I'm just stating!!

                I wondered that too!

All with top rank, aren't they, so Stevenson going against berchelt- Valdez winner shouldnt be difficult to make.

You have to figure at some point they will fight. History tells us that Arum uses aging vets as stepping stones for his younger, talented up and coming fighters.

I expect Loma to get a fight with the Berchelt/Valdez winner.
Then I expect him to fight Shakur.

The only question is will Loma be doing that as the 130 champion or if he loses, will he become essentially the Top Rank gatekeeper for younger guys at or near this weight.

Dave Coldwell and Adam Booth, both respected trainers from the UK said Loma’s skill set is much higher than Mayweather’s. I could be mistaken but didn’t Loma himself say a fight with Pac would be easy? Is that not worthy of some criticism and actually quite disrespectful to a proven great?

Plenty of people ranked Loma above Canelo on p4p lists. Pointing out these observations are incorrect is not ‘criticizing a great fighter’ as you put it, especially if people are using constructive critical thinking to make their arguments.

Disagreeing with the premature placement of a fighter on top of a p4p list shouldn’t be taken offensively. In fact, ranking Loma above proven greats is disrespectful to those great fighters and their achievements.
