Different story if he was close to agreeing the fight, but I think we all now understand that he wasn't.

I'm assuming negotiations are advanced if Fury was invited (if it was genuine, which Fury hasn't denied). I'm also assuming it's not yet a done deal given he's not attending.

They don't get in the ring to make the fight. They get in the ring because the fight is made.

I would lean on negotiations being advanced too. But you're quite right, its not a done deal and thus Fury wouldn't be ****** enough to commit to drumming up excitement for a match which may not materialise. This is what pisses me off about Hearn as well, he has a habit of blowing his load way too soon.

Well...its not misdirected. Hearn gets hate because he's insincere. No part of that is unearned. He gets shat on because he routinely speaks out of both sides of his mouth. Matchroom and DAZN aren't "partnered", thats not how boxing works. Hearn (Matchroom) is a promoter and Skipper (DAZN) are a network. A deal is a deal, not a "partnership". Same way Eddie isn't "partnered" with Sky, there is a deal/contract which allows them to stage Matchroom fights until 2021. US law dictates that they CANNOT act as one entity as that would be in breach of the Ali Act. Same way you don't see ESPN/Fox acting in unison with either Top Rank or PBC. DAZN attempted to draw Wilder in with a multi fight network deal which would have included a fight with Joshua but could not guarantee Joshua because of, as stated, the Ali Act. He would have basically been locked in with a deal with no promise of a shot against the very guy whose the reason he's even on the table.

So I just read the test of the Mohamed Ali Boxing Reform Act
(https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/106/hr1832/text) and I cannot see anything that relates US law dictating anything that to British based companies - Matchroom, Matchroom USA and DAZN are all registered companies in the UK so US law probably isn't dictating anything LOL.

I think you are probably referring to Competition law but I'm sure that BT and Sky treat Matchroom and QBP equally LOL.

Thanks for your opinion. You're right, Fury DOES know Joshua - remember that time, all those years ago when Joshua was this 'young, up and coming' heavyweight and he went after Fury in sparring??? It was enough for Fury to big Joshua up then.

Hughie and Peter Fury being in the building may have something to do with Tyson not wanting to attend. I'm not sure they've all made up.

In fact, I'm sure Eddie knows this and is just putting public pressure on Tyson ahead of the potential AJ fight.

You know that's complete lies right ... Wilder was an idiot for not attending the AJ fight they were offering to pay him to do that with his own guaranteed world press conference.

As for the ring he just wasn't guaranteed to get in the ring given he wouldn't agree to the fight beforehand .. show me any other fight where any fighter had a legally binding contract to get in the ring at another fighters show.

If I was a fighter and someone said I had to guarantee another unrelated fighter ring time at the end of my fight I'd tell them to ***** off too.

Fury doesn’t dance to anyone’s tune and Hearn doesn’t get this, he’s too busy telling Joshua what to think.Tyson by his own admission knows all about Joshua and considers him pretty basic saying it will be his easiest fight.So to turn up for a scouting mission makes no sense.IF Joshua gets through Saturday the fun and games will start soon after.As always Edward has prematurely shot his load.Do everyone a favour Edward...wind your neck in!
