Dont get me wrong FLOYD is as good as Williams and will hold it the **** down but if Williams PROGRESSION grows he has a very good chance
Can Williams beat Floyd couple years down the road?

Hah, over 5'7? Most Welterweights are not over 5'10. So you're mad that Floyd isn't fight opponents who are so large they should be fighting at higher weights... like there's a plethora of them who are ranked high? Your logic is brilliant... are you releated to Charlie?Originally posted by shortrightwillam would beat mayweather tommorow, floyd has yet to face a welter over 57, he hand picking opponentsComment

Possibly. Floyd has great defense, and Williams has none whatsoever. Williams does look more comfortable at welter than Floyd does. Floyd is more accurate though in my opinion. I wonder how long Williams can keep making welterweight.Comment

Paul Williams’s defense is his only liability. As long as he doesn’t give Floyd too much respect, he can overwhelm Floyd with his size. However, Floyd will be timing him with right hands throughout the fight. As long as he doesn’t start getting timid, he should do just fine against him even with the technical disadvantage. However, this fight won’t happen until later next year. Floyd is going to try to fight Shane in February and Oscar in may. By then he would have grown into a welterweight body but would have lost some speed. Floyd should fight him or Margarito in February because he will lose his best advantage against them once he moves up.Last edited by ejenki; 08-19-2006, 10:56 PM.Comment

baldomir is a featherfisted 5 7 journey man, its not like he gathered all the belts, he won one fight by a pnt and then beat a punching bag, if baldomir is so good drop some money on him, he is a 5 to 1 underdogOriginally posted by NautilusFloyd will fight the legitimate, undisputed champion -- Baldomir.Comment

SO your definition of a "legit" welterweight is somebody who started their career at welterweight? What makes a fighter a legit fighter is if they make the weight and aren't too fat or too slow... that's about it. Everything else is just used to insult FLoyd's opponents.Originally posted by shortrighthe has yet to face a legit welterweight, just jr welters that moved up judah, mitchellComment

williams throws over 100 punches a round, and he never gasses out, it will only take one flush shot, he would catch him eventually and floyd would have to leap in with his shots. guaranteed kayo forwillimamsComment
