COVID-19 has impacted Showtime's December 19 tripleheader yet again. BoxingScene.com has learned that Nonito Donaire has tested positive for the coronavirus and has withdrawn from his WBC bantamweight title fight against Emmanuel Rodriguez. Donaire was supposed to face France's Nordine Oubaali in Showtime's main event that night, but Oubaali tested positive for COVID-19 and was replaced last month by Rodriguez.

Lmao! Emmanuel Rodriguez has the worst luck : that bum 'Pantera' Nery failed to make 118, on the undercard of Wilder-Ortiz II ; so Rodriguez refused to fight. Then WBC bantamweight champion, Nordine Oubaali, tested positive for COVID and now Nonito caught the germ.



But like the last time we got bad news, we might get another great opponent as replacement ( Only in the bantamweight division ) in red-hot dangerous hitting, Pilipino wrecking-ball Reymart Gaballo.

This news sucks.. but now I'm sure they'll just schedule the original fight of Oubali vs Donaire early next year. Manny Rodriguez should have taken the fight with Luis Nery when he had the chance. Tsk tsk
