Bob is greasing his palms under the table just like he did with Michael Koncz to keep Manny. Bob letting off that steam a few weeks ago is basically him saying "Man, you got the nerve to complain when you're getting a minimum of $3.5MM to knock off no hopers?" I have a feeling the Spence fight won't happen until Crawford is no longer tied to TR. You see how fast Canelo made the Smith fight once he became a free agent? That tells me it was Oscar blocking the Smith and Charlo fights all this time. Canelo breaks free and the Smith fight gets made less than two weeks later...
it def could help accelerate it if bud was free of TR...remember how fast floyd/cotto got made once cotto was free of TR for that period? i def dont disagree there....but i still think it can happen if that doesnt happen

what cracks me up about the oscar/canelo thing is all the guys giving haymon and schaeffer hell over what happened with them and golden boy...none of those guys alienated and had a top star leave....they built them.....all these losers were on oscars side crying and whining about al and ****....now you can see what the real problem was

      TELL ME

Spence ducking legacy fights against Bud to take a beating and a retirement chq against canelo. What a shame.
Did you choose to just not read anything I wrote?

I said Canelo would pick Spence apart.

I didn't even make an argument that Spence would make it a fight.

      What else do you want?

        2. Canelo is fighting at 168 in his next fight where the division has a lot more promising match ups. The only thing at 160 for his is Jermall. I highly doubt Canelo is going to want to make Spence move up 2 divisions and take all that flack from the fans. Spence is not ready to move up and Canelo is barely able to make 160 anymore. As lucrative as the fight can be I just do not see Spence doing anything for Canelo's resume.
        1. He needs to fight Pacquiao and Bud to be ready for Canelo. Not just because it unifies the division Spence has never fought anyone with Pacquiao's speed and volume or power. While Crawford's power and boxing IQ is something Spence has also never fought against. Whereas Canelo has hand speed, power, and boxing IQ. He's the whole package. So Spence really needs to fight those guys before Canelo because if he goes straight to Canelo. He's getting beat up imo and I'm a fan of Spence's.

        2. Why did Hagler bother with Ray Leonard or Duran? If Spence were to beat Pacquiao and beat Crawford, which would unify the division, Spence would be the second most notable boxer in the world to Canelo at that point. While being capable of reaching MW at least. It would be the fight to make because it'll most definitely be the p4p #1 vs the p4p #2 fighting.

In theory of course but Canelo shouldn't sit around waiting for that to happen. He should go ahead and make the best fights possible until that becomes a possibility for Spence. If ever.

Yep. The real problem all along was Oscar's devotion to ******* and women's lingerie. I hear he's in training to come back at age 47. That should be comical. Maybe he can square off with Dana White or Logan Paul. Hahahahahahahaha

It sends a bad message when a Mexican superstar like Canelo leaves a Mexican-American promoter to become a free agent. The damage done to GB's brand will be hard to overcome because other Mexican and Mexican-American fighters will see this and think about doing the same. Ryan Garcia is already thinking about it.

The rich and corporations don't pay their share of taxes relative to their income in comparison to the majority of citizens. It baffles me that people defend billionaires and corporations like there is something in it for them or the eventual hope they will be a part of the 1%.
I have yet to see a video where the proud boys were racist and violent. I have seen videos of them defending themselves though. If any group is racist and violent it is antifa and ***. Do you know why the rich pay less in taxes? They donate a far lot more than you and I do so they can claim as a deduct. If you do not like that fact then take it up with law makers. I still cannot figure out why people openly want the government to take more of their hard earned money just to give it to some broken program that just holds people back.

              1. Pac also has great foot work and moves in and out too much for Spence. I doubted Crawford's power until he smashed Brook and I thought Brook had a chance coming into that fight.

              2. I just think that if Spence has to fight Crawford and Pac before Canelo and Spence has already said he is looking to the summer for his next fight. That means we would not see it until May 2020 at the earliest and by then Canelo will be even older and it would be even harder to make the weight.

It would still be a lucrative fight but it is one that I think is close to 0% chance of getting made. Spence should move up and face Jermell and take over that division before Jermell moves up. Canelo has plenty of good fights ahead of him to keep him busy before he retires.

I don't know if it would be too much for Spence but Pacquiao definitely has good footwork. Though a bit patterned but it's still excellent.

The thing is though, Spence and Canelo are the same age. So, it's possible, just depends on whether or not Canelo still has the passion for boxing. It'll be maybe another year, maybe a May 5th, 2022 fight?

Spence I can't imagine fighting Jermell though. He's friends with the Charlo brothers and has the same trainer as Jermell at that.

Maybe that is why Spence has not moved up? He would not want to go up against Jermell and there is really not that many big names if he did. He can make more monney at 147 I guess.

It was Al and Richard who were keeping GBP alive while Oscar was doing lines and trying on women's lingerie in a hotel room. His fighter fight under the fear that he could relapse at any damn time. That's not a good look for the founder of a major company. I never once heard a negative word about Al from any of his fighters.
