I personally have him #1 or #2. I do not have Crawford in my top 5 nor do I have Spence. My own personal list would be

      1. Canelo
      2. Fury
      3. Lomachenko
      4. Inoue
      5. Bivol
      6. Jermell
      7. Crawford
      8. Pac
      9. The rest can fight for scraps.
I like their styles and skill set more than other top fighters.

****** comment because 1. Canelo is a lighter skin color than Loma. 2. The other boxer that some feel is p4p #1 is black. And 3. Mexicans get more favorable treatment than basically any other group in boxing and canelo is at the top of that list. Canelo has received favorable treatment from judges on several occasions while never being the victim of a bad scorecard and he’s been getting favorable treatment from title organizations since he was 20 yrs old and continues to do so.

Eye test - Loma, easily. Resume - that's where nuances matter.

The "nuances" are the fact that whenever Canelo stepped up to an elite (A+, such as GGG, Kovalev, $$$) level he did it at a time when they were on the slide. He got it right with Kovalev, dead wrong with $$$ and wrong with GGG - at least the 1st fight. I don't think that the 35+ GGG is the same as Linares or other champions Loma fought, but fighting someone on the slide should cost you points, IMO. And without these names (throw in Cotto there, if you wish) his resume is good, but not as good as it is optically. Canelo is an excellent fighter - that's a fact, but it would also be fair to say that he doesn't always like to play on an even playing field. I don't rank Smith to be on the same level as GGG, but Smith should be Canelo's A-level test. And even there Canelo rushed the fight at 5 weeks notice. He does tilt playing field in his favor - that's also a fact.

Speaking of “eye tests” how did Loma do against Lopez?

All is takes is 1 comment from him in a mail bag where he refers to canelo as a ped cheat for you to start your long useless and inaccurate rant about wada and %s, and weeping about how bread is a racist.
