Regional champs to determine rankings is one thing. Silver, platinum, gold and every other metal thought of belts is bull ****. There should only be one world champion

If there's ten guys, they need to be fighting in between themselves to get the top ranking

I think that there should be 2 belts per division, that way there aren't a half dozen guys in each division calling themselves champ, but it won't be like the UFC where every champ is called undisputed because there is only one belt.

lol, this is kind of a contradicting statement in that the more belts, the more champions, the more fighters get paid. It's like, Yes and no. Perhaps Yes initially but once all the viewers catch on to it and they realize EVERYONE has a belt, it makes each matchup less significant. The worth of the match is less and it begs the viewer to ask, why even tune it? In the long run, less viewers, less $$$ going around, less fighters will be paid.

I think a lot of decisions made in boxing are for the moment and what will get someone the most $$$ without thinking long term health. This although is in fact the way of many thinking in all big money corporations. They're in it for the now and who cares about the future? It's someone else's problem to deal with.

With fighters only fighting twice A year, promoters keeping belts in house, fighters taking tune ups and easy mandatory fights and letting fights marinate boxing needs those belts. Guys like Thurman saying spence was too green, Loma told Lopez he needed a belt first, or inactive fighters like Gary Russell Jr is why boxing need those belts. Then you get guys saying there's no money in that fight its ridiculous. More belts more opportunities for guys who often get ducked because they are a threat.

Probably the only time I agree 100% with Floyd on something.

Floyd is right but also a massive hypocrite- has Rolly and Davis fight for two versions of the wba title and not with Loma

The IBO and the WBO need to go, both are absolute trash and the IBO is the biggest joke of them all.

Mike Tyson smokes lots of weed.

                    Take that into account

But I'd like to actually once again propose something that me and another poster kind of collaborated on a few months ago.

Where each of the 4 major sanctioning bodies would take one of the corners of the world

                    Say:

                    WBC - North America
                    WBA - South America/The Carribbean
                    IBF - Africa/Australia/Pacific Islands
                    WBO - Europe/Asia

Then each champion can defend their belt in their side of the world and then there's a 4 man tournament in each division each year to determine the Lineal/Ring/TRBR Champion of the belt

That would somewhat streamline the whole process of making fights.

Then, the whole "interim" and "regular" champs could make sense just in case the champion can't participate in the Ring/Lineal/TRBR tournament and would be first in line for the "Super" champion's title when he defends it in his part of the world

Would the locations be dictated by where you were born or where you pay taxes ? Where will Central America fall ? WBC or WBA ?
