for the same reasons he picked Amir Khan, Chavez Jr, and Kovalev, they all have name value with minimized risk. Honestly there should be no reason why a guy who’s held a world title at light heavyweight should be entertaining a fight with a current welterweight.

All Floyd has to do is a pot shot and retreat 2:1 per round and stay safe. That’s not “whooping” or “schooling,” but playing safe. Just like Canelo playing safe with GGG in the first fight. Mayweather never dared to fight Canelo above 152 when he claimed it was “easy” and the 2nd biggest PPV... why turn down another astronomical PPV and get a Middleweight belt if it was easy?
