if you want a somewhat serious response to your tu quoque argument i would say last time i looked pac just beat a top boxer in thurman and offered crawford a career high payday which was turned down. floyd wasnt even doing that in his own prime. he was retiring.

did ali avoid prime foreman, frazier, and liston and retire instead? did he say they lived too far away or they had to take the test and then when they said ok said oh wait you only get a tiny flat fee now? did ali say "Me and foreman, we're not fighting to prove to the boxing fans who the best is." come on now! floyd would have done this 10 years ago if he could without any doubt. floyd could stil box top guys right now if he wanted! and hes not! why? cause he doesnt have to! before he had to fight someone to make money and that was the right opponent for him, guys he knew he could beat or were over the hill. now he doesnt even have to do that. ali on the other hand was taking fights like against holmes even though he knew he couldnt and wouldnt win! yeah cherry picking!

remember when floyd was retired when he was like 31 years old? so yeah cant use the he's retired excuse when thats his excuse to avoid good fighters. now hes just found a way to line his pockets without having to take any risks at all so like i said great con, good for him, but once a conman always a conman. he just moved onto a different con. instead of saying "oh wow i fell for his con, that was silly of me" you double down in protection mode! floyd protection squad! you must tell everyone how floyd doesnt have to fight good fighters its your duty!

im not even trashing it too much. if you read my posts i said its a great con and good for him. i put it into the larger context of his career and mindset and said you can see that he was never a risk taker and this is just more evidence of that. he always had the same mindset and this is just a further continuation of it. the mindset was "if i think i can beat this guy il fight him, if not no dice." yes age is a factor of course but mindset is much more of a factor. he never had the "i have to prove im the best mindset" and you certainly cant use the hes old excuse because as prime floyd said "Me and Margarito, we're not fighting to prove to the boxing fans who the best is." now he is still living up to that creed. floyd and paul arent fightin to prove who the best is. nothing has changed.
