People can complain however loud they want to but I'm absolutely delighted with those numbers, both Tyson and Jones deserve it

I think the 49.95 price tag helped a lot. I watched both cards and the Triller card was much more entertaining for 50 than the PBC card for 80. Boxing promoters want fans to pay a premium for matches with foregone conclusions. Makes no sense. If the Spence Garcia card had been 49.95 they would have doubled or tripled their buys.Comment

That just shows you how badly promoted the sport of boxing is these days. But then again Tyson has always been the casuals favourite boxer. Ask any casual and they will tell you Tyson was the greatest ever....Comment

I'm afraid boxing promoters already gave up on boxing being a leading ppv sport and are more focused on getting free TV deals where the revenue is way less but safer and they can keep on putting their fighters in mismatches to keep the cash flow going. Sooner or later that well is going to dry up though and nobody will care even if the best started fighting the best. The interest in the sport and the current top fighters is lost already.
Eventually that'll happen on a bigger scale when the juice is worth the squeeze for an entrepreneur with a nice bankroll who wants to multiple it.Comment

But yea I had only heard of Triller in passing before this & I didn't even know exactly what it was til a couple weeks ago lol.
Bottom line is this is a big L for the powers that be in boxing.Comment
