  • Tonight proved why DAZN sucks

Forget all this 10 dollars a month rubbish when you can get big time 75 buck Ppvs like that

I really hope we get to pay for Spence vs Thurman next up!

I love the sarcasm here. Am sure some would even take the bait and believe it too.

Against total douche bags both of them. There’s nothing wrong with DAZN as a concept. It’s their roster that sucks and is why I won’t pay for it. If they had PBC’s roster I’d be all over that ****.

I'm getting it in the UK cos it launched at £1 / month which is kinda joke money... I'll see what kinda fights they put on and how useful I'm finding the back catalogue when they start raising the price and review then.

Yeah, gonna be curious going forward cos Hearns continuing the SKY contract into 2021... means that some of the biggest fights - like Joshua vs Pulev this month - ain't gonna be on DAZN UK. Still at a quid a month still ain't complaining....

I actually have an Aunt who lives in the states who I sent some cash over to and she signed up to DAZN US for me. I can't say how nice it is to have access to a sport I love, on a subscription based model.

We as humans tend to lose the value of money when it comes to subscription models, at least initially. We'll pay 3 pounds/dollars/euros for a coffee, maybe 2-3 times a week, but we won't commit to give a fiver a month to something we spend a lot of time watching and reading about. It's such an odd mentality and I guess its the deep seeded fear we have of promising money every month for something. I don't mean you personally of course, just a general observation

With PPV we are guaranteed Spence-Thurman and Spence-Porter II for a combined $150, incredible value as we all want those fights more than any others

Ha it absolutely does apply to me too for all that I consider myself a rationalist, there's any number of instances where I could probably save money by commiting to longer term expenditures.

In my defense I have spent spells of my life completely penniless so there's probably some justification for the fear of literally not being able to cover costs... add to that a highly variable income and a deeply fatalistic streak and it kinda makes some sense I guess.
