Agree 100% with this. People make out as if the moment Wilder touches a fighter, they’re gone but this hasn’t typically been the case.
Plus we’ve seen pretty much all the top HWs destroy fighters and turn the lights out with one punch, but I personally believe we’ve only seen Wilder doing it more frequently because he has fought the most dreadful competition out of the bunch.
This isn’t to detract from the power he has, which is clearly special. But if the likes of Martin and Chisora are also blasting out Wilder’s competition only 5 fighters ago, then I’m fairly confident that any other top 6-7 fighter would have an equally glossy record as Wilder did before he ran into Fury. I’m sure even Whyte himself would have looked like an unstoppable killer.
