Wilder’s handlers weren’t interested in negotiations and the fight. They just wanted free press and to use AJ’s notoriety to boost Wilder’s profile.

At least Hearn and Fury’s handlers especially MTK and Arum have been in negotiations since summer this year. They also signed a NDA - so it makes sense.

If he intends to fight Joshua he'd be adding interest and hype to their fight.
