Instead, with close decision is going the other way, he is just seen as the nearly man and not rated that highly.
Good point but, at 38 years old @ 168, it's more than likely he's gonna fall short again.

        Yeah, I’d imagine

I just mean in general on a different night with different judges his profile could’ve been way bigger and be one of the better British fighters of his era.

Just shows how a judges decision can affect the course of a career.

He was a very underrated fighter at his best, but that was he was closer to 30, not 40

He's right about the opposition, levels apart.

BJS should win handedly but Murray is spot on regarding his competition.

Was very unlucky against Sturm and let's face it got robbed against Martinez with a genuine 2nd knockdown not being allowed by the ref in Argentina. Not sure what he's got left at 38 in the 160 division but he's never been prone to excessive weight gain and is better than most give him credit for.
Groves was a competitive fight, it was not easy for Groves.

People might have short memories but this guy got ROBBED against Sturm and Martinez back in the day. He is tough as nails and only lost to the best, I would love to see him beat BJS but at 38 i don't think he can do it, he was always better at 160 and i believe he is well shop worn now.
