He cant afford a tune up becauase a journeyman 'tune up' might of broken his face. He and his team knew that they cannot afford tuneups, they need paydays ASAP. because Spence can clearly not be the same man he was before, hes lucky to be alive.

Why is anyone acting as if the car accident has done absolutely anything? It’s as if we’ve had a seance and have determined he’s been impacted. NONONE KNOWS and to say otherwise is nonsense. Both those fights were very close. Garcia only has himself to blame for those losses. By upping his pace just slightly he could have come away with wins in both imo. He's certainly no pushover for anyone presently @ 147 and Spence deserves some respect for agreeing to go ahead with this as a "first fight back".

It’s also not wearing a seatbelt that saved his life. Being strapped down in a flipping convertible would surely have been the end of boxing for him.
