To me, a hypejob to me is the gap between the exposure and opinion of a fighter vs reality. Nobody is calling Tank an all time great. He barely gets discussed in P4P discussions. But he delivered on all of his fights until now. I also doubt he gets more attention than Loma.

The gap between the "legend" of Loma and reality is much larger than Tank's.

for me a hypejob is someone who there is a lot of hype about but has achieved very little of it

tank comes to mind, he's famous for avoiding loma mostly it seems to me

now he may go on and do well but thats the way boxing works, he's been very carefully managed

i dont think fury and loma are huge hype jobs really, they both have done very very well in the sport
maybe loma at 135 & crawford at 147 have a lot of hype and havn't delivered for various reasons

Fury is not a hype job because he always delivered, gets plenty of criticism, and the media is actually against him. His resume is on par with how he's viewed and pushed. If we go off performance and resume alone, I would even say that he's underrated.

            Loma is another question.

I would say GGG then. The media built him up to be the best MW EVER! His best win is what Sergiy? Jacobs?? Seems like once he stepped up past Brook his wins have been controversial.

he's headlining ppvs. his resume is completely barren. he's delivered against the bums and small fighters they match him with yes while loma has fought 5 top 5 guys in a row on top of his resume at 126 and 130. i dont see how loma can be hype just for losing. tank is hype for not fighting anyone and yet they are treating him like an a-side star on ppvs

Everyone knows the right answer is Crawford. #1P4P for"beating the man that beat the man".
