How? You have to beat the man in front of you to move up. The way it is now the promoters have no incentive to face fighters off, in a real sport they would be forced to or there man would lose his spot.

We all know boxing isn’t a sport, it’s now just entertainment as rankings and belts are worthless unless you are undisputed.

1 belt in every div is good for boxing. imagine there is no cherry pickings as everyone will fight their way up to the top. no more re-routing from belts to belts which can be capitalized by anyone for an easy undisputed title. it's a one man standing at the end. the best word i could think of out of this will be "FILTERING". one with the best boxing skills will be the only TBE.

doesn't matter what the system as long as the top guy is clear & u have to aim for him to claim to be the best in division, one belt or mando unifications at set times regularly or something clever thought up by people who want to make it happen in the sport

won't happen it seems as too many fingers in the pie & it's actually going the wrong way fast last few years

if i talk to someone who likes sport but only a bit of boxing they have no clue about who is good or not really, imagine in another sports league noone had a clue who would win if they played and they may never ever play, wow, & the top two teams of the generation argued for 6 yrs before getting it on

How much less would it matter to win a league title in one of those leagues? How would you ever know which league champ was the best in any given year? That's boxing all the time in most divisions year in & year out. In the most competitive divisions with money fighters maybe league champs play each other once every 2 or 3 years at best. How much of a sh^tshow would be that be for pro football?
Ya man that's a great way to put it.

I think it would be boring. Like if you abolished conferences in sports.

I'd rather have 2 sanctioning bodies. One like the WBC and one like the IBF. One would be the establishment's league, the other would be the people's.

Both would develop a brand, personality, and a style. It would also attract 2 different type of fighters.

Then both can compete to see who's the "true" champion. Rivalry is good.

No. 2 is still too many. Then that A Side bs occurs. ONE BELT eliminates everything. If they don’t defend it, they get stripped.

With 17 different weight divisions there are too many champions.

The real champions to me are the winners of the World Boxing Super Series or lineal champions.

I could care less about WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, WBU etc... and even less about the silver and gold champions.

Being the #1 contender or a top contender would have to be seen as impressive for boxing to work with only 2 title fights a year

Get people invested each time a top contender fights

Contenders would fight 3-4 times a year if there was only one champ. Pressure to prove they’re the best opponent to get their title shot
