How would boxing turn out if there was only ONE belt for each weight class?

Being the #1 contender or a top contender would have to be seen as impressive for boxing to work with only 2 title fights a year

Get people invested each time a top contender fights

Contenders would fight 3-4 times a year if there was only one champ. Pressure to prove they’re the best opponent to get their title shot

3 belts per div is a good amount imho.

Like a movie that has more than 1 star.

It could only work if people were required to fight more.

Anything less than 3 fights a year and we wouldn't get the fights we wanted.

The champion should have to defend. If he's sick or hurt, he loses his belt. Point blank.
