To Pick on your point about Crawford, that was exactly my thought when he renwed his contract with arum.... but then i saw the purses... amir khan boxes crawford and gets $5mil as a opponent of crawford... so id say Crawford would have been gettin paid arwn the $7mil based on that...

Less then half of what khan got... so from my perspective Crawford was offered a deal that was too good compared PBC.... so it may have very well have been a no brainer for Crawford knowing fully well Arum aint got non of the tops dogs at ww and yet them purses are seriously good fightin mediocre oppoents. So for him to get lured in to them big fights he wants big money... big risk big rewards... 8 figures. Who gonna cough up that kinda money to see crawford

I could not agree more. I always say that Mayweather, as great as he was and as much as I enjoyed seeing him fight, really hurt the sport with his blueprint of being undefeated and that being his selling point. It’s not his fault but fighters abs promoters want to map careers based on that blueprint when the fighters don’t have that level of talent....his talent was literally generational possibly even multi-generational. Take Duran, Leonard, Hearns, and Hagler....all great fighters, legendary fighters....and they all lost...more than once, even by knockouts and stoppages more than once...and it’s because of the wars and the ability to come back and win big fights that they are remembered as the 4 Horsemen

Spoken like a true fan of the sport my friend I couldn't have put this any better. I actually enjoy watching some fighters lose because 9 times out of 10 they come back better

Yes, I see why he took the deal, but he shouldn't complain about not getting the fights he wants! I also feel Haymon must be doing something for these guys on the back end, because if not, why would so many stay so loyal?

Personally I believe Haymon sells them the whole race card about how we look after our own and dont work for the so called others as they dont have there best interests at heart etc...
All nonsense... and abit hypocritical when pbc is only running because of its revenue in broadcaster fees it gets from showtime and Fox.
Also I think Arum renewed Crawfords contract last time out just to spite Haymon because he new Crawford is the last piece of the welterweight puzzle over at pbc, therefore offered him a ridiculous monetary contract that was always going to leave top rank at a loss... paid for it dearly so much that he let it all out. Now though when this current contract expires it will get real interesting as Crawford will finally realise he was getting waay over payed by Arum and is simply not worth that much, Arum clearly dont want to deal with him again, so the only option is PBC, is crawford going to want to take a significant pay cut whilst taking on the actual real top welterweights? Either that or retire as there aint much other options out there for him. In a recent Hearn interview, Eddie said he wouldnt really have interest in signing Crawford to Dazn simply because they have no one for him to fight.

I don't see how that would work for the Mexican fighters, and the Euro fighters! PBC has more diversity than the U.N.!

You beat me to it. Exactly. Pbc is the most diverse boxing outfit on earth. And even if black Americans (that’s clearly who the poster is targeting which really shows the motivation of the post) want to sign with one of their own how is this any different from Mexican Americans being loyal to Delahoya or brits to Hearn or Warren? Total lunacy that comment. It just shows what the real hatred for pbc is about and it’s because a black American runs it. That comment just summed up the uniform hatred of pbc. Not caring to mention that Russians, Mexicans, Dominicans, white Americans, Germans, Ukrainians, Canadians, Argentinians, Japanese, northern Irish, Australians, etc etc have fought for that promotion....no, this guy targeted the black Americans....and decided to make it racial rather than by nationality or ethnicity showing the racist mindset that denies ethnicity and nationality to black peoples by just assigning them a race. It does seem that's where a lot of hatred comes from! I can't see how they don't notice the diversity of the PBC? Plant, Stanionis, Ergashev, Karl, Lipinets, Spencer, Dervy, Korobov, Kownacki, Mielnicki, etc.! I guess they don't exist?

Granted true, i was referring to the welterweights with that comment. Either way it has to be something when you had fighters like Wilder rejecting $120mil 3 fight deals from Dazn. Theres some incentive being offered other then money. Only the fighters would know what that is.
