“Nate, I’m proud of you and I will always stand behind all my brothers. I will never kick my brother when he’s down. It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you. We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly. I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort.

SIDENOTE: The times I’ve had issues with another brother is when they came at me first. I was just defending myself.”

My own thoughts: seems like a bit of an overly-grand statement from Floyd, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. He’s basically saying that black people need to have each others backs and not put each other down. I am not black, but I think that is a good thing that he said. Ethnic pride is good, and it’s not the same as racism in my opinion. Swap everywhere he says “black”, with, “polish” or “italian” or “native american” and it still works.

this explains why floyd never took risks. he didnt want people to mock him. his fear of losing debilitated him so badly that it took control of every decision he made. i kind of feel bad for him and his internal struggle

Pretty much on point. This message should go to everybody in every race of people. More importantly stay in your lane.

Yet you are here, after a life long obsession wishing for a Floyd loss, ruined.

At least Floyd got paid. All you have is fantasy fights and slow motion replays.

I think we all should be sad for you.

On November 30, 2020, Al Haymon (over the phone):

“Floyd, it’s in your best interest to seize the moment. Many NBA fans would’ve heard by now that Nate Robinson, via all sources of news and social media, that Nate got brutally knocked out. All these ‘people’ (fans) will be intrigued to know who Mayweather Jr. is should you make a tweet revolving Nate Robinson’s KO, AND, Jake Paul might just retaliate for any tweet you pose regarding that event. Therefore, we can make another PPV mega fight with Jake Paul... all you gotta do is tweet and hope that Jake Paul falls for the bait... and by the way, my services rendered are still 10%”

Not gonna lie I do feel bad for Nate....especially because hes a cool guy and it was such a ****** pointless thing to fight a boxing match against Jake Paul....Literally nothing to gain (except for a check) and everything to loose....

As for this story? Good message overall I guess by Floyd

Just goes to show the racist mentality of Floyd and his followers.

Had it been anyone else of another race, I guarantee you won't see these type of "Uplifting messages" nor other black athletes calling out Jake Paul, they're only doing it because he KO'd a black guy.

Imagine the backlash if the roles were reversed, if it had been a black guy that KO'd a white guy and every white guy out there wanting to get revenge on the black guy?

It’s a weird one. I think you should try to uplift people from your community (as in locality), but focussing on race/ethnicity seems like a dangerous one for me. It’s cool to be inspired by someone of your race/ethnicity achieving something but to root for any white dude to beat a black dude because of their race and vice verse seems v problematic.
